Norway Spruce and Rockefeller Center

I have some new material scheduled for later today, but for now, let me direct you to last year's NYPAOS post on the Norway spruce (Picea abies). Norway spruce is typically the tree that is selected each year for Rockefeller Center.

  1. The orange blog over the Norway spruce any day. Fabulous blog. I love the story of the orange trees. I always knew that the US settlers fancied showing off pineapple and citrus as a form of elitism but this makes it much more timely. Thank you. I have always found this bit of one up-manship with Europe and the US fascinating.
